The essential focus of “FMK Kitchen” is to deliver the freshest and finest quality. Lisa is relentless about this. Cooking and delivering what FMK Kitchen refers to as “Love and Comfort to the Family Table” is a passion. Deeply rooted in the Italian American upbringing, with Lisa’s mother Jennie and Aunts Mary and Louise, always in the kitchen. For literal decades, Aunt Mary wa
s the caterer in the family, producing delicious prepared foods and baked items for a family business based in Merrick, New York.
Lisa is very grateful for a long rewarding career in Hospitality Sales. This began at the front desk of the New York Hilton in midtown Manhattan and most recently in the role of Vice President Strategic Accounts for Hilton Worldwide and member of the Board of Directors of the Strategic Account Management Association. In June 2020 Lisa was offered a retirement from Hilton Worldwide. She found herself without the daily routine of a demanding role and job responsibility for the first time in thirty six years.
After a lot of deliberation, trepidation and a fair amount of deep meditative breathing, Lisa took the steps to form an entrepreneurial venture and follow her heart and passion for pleasing others by bringing love and comfort to their tables too. FMK Kitchen also dedicates weekly time and love to the community, cooking in the soup kitchen of the local Catholic parish. In 2021, wooden spoons and a chef’s jacket have replaced spreadsheets and business suits, and Lisa couldn’t be happier.
