Bio:
    • Dr. Mark Goulston is the creator of Design Thinking Leadership Coaching and Training and the best selling author or co-author of eight books. In his most recent book, Why Cope When You Can Heal? he formally introduces the process of Surgical Empathy which he developed as a former FBI hostage negotiation trainer, psychiatrist focusing on suicide prevention where for over thirty years none of his patients died by suicide.
His books and shows:
    • “Just Listen,” translated into 26 languages became the top book on listening in the world and is a subject he speaks about around the world including last year in Moscow when he headlined a conference along with Nobel Prize winner Daniel Kahneman, author of Thinking Fast and Slow. He is also the host of the highly rated, My Wakeup Call podcast, and of the LinkedIn Live Stream show, No Strings Attached.

Dr. Goulston dives into the importance of listening and truly feeling what someone contemplating suicide feels. He shares beautiful stories of fear, pain, strength, and hope. He even lets us in to his own challenges in this area during college. Because of an angel that helped him, he has chosen to devote his life to helping others.
