From Fear to Fire: Secrets to Overcome Fear, Embrace your Gifts and Achieve Success

This is the place where real people share real challenges. Where you can find a common bond and uncommon wisdom through their stories. Use tips from the breakthroughs of others to jump start your success. Speaker, author, adventurer, and Host Heather Hansen O’Neill takes you on the journey from fear to fire. Today we talk about adventure, leadership, growth, and the way of the hero.

Layne Gneiting is CEO of Way of the Hero LLC, an Adventure Strategy consultancy that helps leaders excel through adventures that instill trust, inspire innovation, and accelerate growth.

For nearly 20 years he has taught leadership, communication, and performance at Arizona State University, designing classes that students call “a literal life changer,” “tremendously rewarding,” and “the most enjoyable course I’ve ever taken.” In 2009 Gneiting achieved a personal dream of cycling across America—a life-changing feat of 4,300 miles that revolutionized his approach to teaching.

Passionate about sharing these discoveries with others, Gneiting quickly turned to coaching and consulting. As dream manager, executive coach, and seminar leader, Gneiting has, in the words of his clients, “provide(d) leadership and coaching products and services . . . that have produced results far beyond our expectations and in a method that is unparalleled” (Halladay). Today Gneiting continues to help people radically redefine their lives.

In his quest to help 49 million souls live their lives unmasked he has led transformative adventures across the globe, from Iceland to New Zealand. On a personal level, Gneiting’s dream is to cycle every country in the world. He’s cycled 38 countries to date, and in 2021 is guiding treks through Northern Europe, Romania, New York, and New Zealand. Gneiting and his bride Gaylene have 8 children and live in Mesa, Arizona.
